Directions:
From Pretoria North/Central:
Take Struben street out onto the Ben Schoeman/N14 highway. Take the Jean Ave. turn off, make a right at the robot into Jean ave.(Jean becomes Littleton ave). Carry on with Littleton ave untill it becomes Saxby str.(After you cross Ruimte rd., it becomes Saxby, I think.) Three streets after that, you turn right into Alan str. Take the next street on your left(De Hoewe str.) and the entance to the hall is about 30m from the corner.
From JHB/Midrand:
Take the N1 North untill you reach the N1/N14 split, keep to the right and follow the N14. Take the Jean ave. turn off and make a left into Jean ave.(Jean becomes Littleton ave). Carry on with Littleton ave untill it becomes Saxby str.(After you cross Ruimte rd., it becomes Saxby, I think.) Three streets after that, you turn right into Alan str. Take the next street on your left(De Hoewe str.) and the entance to the hall is about 30m from the corner.
From Pta East:
Take the N1 highway south and take the Botha ave turn off. Make a left into Station str. and carry on untill you reach Jean ave. Turn right into Jean ave and carry on untill it becomes Littleton ave. (Right after Going underneath the highway). Carry on with Littleton ave untill it becomes Saxby str.(After you cross Ruimte rd., it becomes Saxby, I think.) Three streets after that, you turn right into Alan str. Take the next street on your left(De Hoewe str.) and the entance to the hall is about 30m from the corner.
You should allready see the hall when driving down Saxby on your right hand side, just before you reach Alan rd.

Games at MPLD:
You will notice that there aren?t any games mentioned. As to be expected, games like CSS, COD4 and DOTA are very popular at MPLD. We usually have 2 Dedicated CSS and a couple of dedicated COD4 severs running at MPLD. Besides that we have some extra servers that we could potentially set up as other dedicated servers. We do it on request and then there has to be enough people interested.
Other popular games are games such as COD: WAW, Farcry2 and many more.
Web Server:
MPLD has a web server running at the event. This does not mean you will have internet access at MPLD. This is just a server on the lan witch you can access using Internet explorer. All the latest patches for various games are available for download at the lan from our Web-Server. We also try and put the latest drivers for popular hardware on there. The Web-Server has stats section for CS Source. For any information regarding the Web Server or if you would like to add something to it, contact IceQ at MPLD.
Media Server:
This server is basically there for entertainment. It plays music and music videos throughout the weekend
Leeching at MPLD:
MPLD Runs a DC++ server for the purpose of leeching. Please do not use any other methods for leeching. The server will be shut down if we are hosting a comp and see that there is strain on the network.
Official Leeching times:
Friday from 23:00 to Saturday Morning 07:00
Saturday Night from 22:00 to Sunday Morning Whenever.

We will be selling Wors Rolls, hot dogs, toasted sandwiches, currie and rice, chocolates, chips, sweets and cool drinks at the lan. If you want to reserve a certain spot to sit, goto our forum: http://www.mpld.co.za/sbs/
What to bring:
- All your driver disks, in case you have to reload. Please make sure your PC is in good working order at least one day before the lan. Those guys that know how, make an image of your pc the night before.
- Money if you want to buy food and cool drinks
- We have quite a lot of lan cables at this stage, so no need to bring your own
- We have enough leads and multiplugs, please do not bring your own, you will bugger up our power grid.
- Power cable for your PC and Monitor. We don?t have any extra
- If you want to sleep over, a sleeping bag/mattress cushions and blanket.
Rules:
1. Bring all your software and drivers, just in case you need to reload (Please check your PC the night before!)
2. Please make sure you have the latest MS patches, updates and service packs loaded on your system.
3. Make absolutely sure you are running an anti virus and Firewall and that it is updated to the latest definitions.
4. If you want to smoke, you will have to go outside
5. Drinking is allowed, but please keep it under control. Bad behaviour will not be tolerated!
6. Underage Drinking\Smoking will not be allowed!
7. Keep Leeching for late in the evening or early in the mornings.
8. Please Register!!! If you just pitch up, you will have to wait until we are sure there will be space for you, and we might charge you extra at our discretion.
9. No network/port scanning software is allowed!!! If you are caught using any kind of IP/Network Share/Pc Information scanning software, you will be asked to leave. (I.e. Using LANGUARD)
10. If caught cheating, you will be thrown out and banned from all future MPLD events.
